Interim Depot Manager

JOB PURPOSE
To provide leadership, support and training for a team of Oxygen Therapy Engineers. To manage a regional depot ensuring that contracted service & quality KPI requirements are met with in adherence to company policies and procedures.

PRIMARY DUTIES & AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • i) To provide leadership to a Field Team ensuring that they comply with: contractual and regulatory requirements, quality management systems, HR and operational policies
  • ii) To manage regional depots to ensure day to day operational requirements are met
  • iii) To provide training to new and existing team members
  • iv) To conduct regular staff audits and appraisals to ensure quality of service is maintained and highlight any areas for improvement
  • v) To educate patients, carers and support staff through training regarded to the risks relating to equipment, equipment use and safety, cleaning and maintenance of equipment
  • vi) To providing technical support to DV, clinical and NHS staff vii) To liaising with logistics team to resolve any stock related issues
  • viii) To providing support to the other Depot Managers and to cover for holidays or sickness
  • ix) To ensure all field staff are trained and provided with appropriate communications for new products or contractual changes
  • x) To liaise with Fleet Administrator and assist field team as necessary to resolve vehicle issues
  • xi) To assist in carrying out field activities where required including: installations, uplifts, breakdowns, and servicing of all modalities of home oxygen equipment xii) To prepare reporting as required for senior management

SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS

The post holder will be required to provide support to on-call staff which is provided on a rotational basis with other Depot Managers.
Travel and stay overnight on occasion to attend meetings, training course, etc.
To undertake regular additional training to ensure that they can operate any equipment (i.e. forklifts, etc.) which will be required to operate within each depot location.

Monday - Friday: 8am to 5pm (Flexibility regarding dealing with calls outs at night/week ends)
