  1. JOB DETAILS

            Job Title:                    Senior Prescription Services Coordinator     

            Reports to:                 Team Leader

            Department:              Customer service

            Location:                    Gatwick

  1. JOB PURPOSE         

To be responsible for an essential service to patients, relatives and healthcare professionals.

To process oxygen installations and changes of oxygen prescriptions and to interrogate data to ensure the business aligns with contractual requirements.  

Support for other team members and colleagues.

  1. PRIMARY DUTIES & AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

i) To respond in a timely manner to patient prescriptions including prescription confirmation/rejection and product availability

ii) To process prescription and liaise closely with prescribers and to respond to their needs

iii) To ensure accurate information is entered into the required system

iv) To work closely with internal stakeholders and keep them updated of any issues

v) To provide stock requirements as needed

vi) To manage the prescribers line and deal with any queries in a timely manner

vii) To work closely with the Clinical team as and when required

viii) To deal with all enquiries from prescribers in an empathetic and effective manner within company/contract agreed timescales

ix) To ensure that all enquiries are completed according to departmental procedures and within set quality standards

x) To liaise closely with other departments by best means possible, giving accurate information at all times

xi) To work to team, organisational and departmental targets as specified

xii) To work across the department on process improvements and special projects

xiii) To assist with communicating and monitoring productivity and quality targets 

xiv) Assist in organising daily work schedules and priorities across the team

xv) To be responsible for designated team leader activities in their absence

xvi) To provide support to other areas of the Customer Service department when required

  1. DEVELOPMENT

It is expected that all Senior Coordinators will be multi-skilled across all aspects of the contact centre prior to applying for this role.

The post holder will be provided with the appropriate training, coaching and support in each role to ensure they understand the task in hand.

  1. SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS

The post holder will be required to travel to external meetings on occasion
